Balint Weekends

Currently open for booking:

  • Thursday June 28th – Friday June 29th 2018: Newcastle upon Tyne
Two day Balint event including Leadership development groups, Balint Psychodrama group and ordinary Balint groups.

This two day event will be like a Balint ‘weekend’ but in the working week.  We will be running:

Ordinary Balint groups This is good experience for new comers and for leaders to have experience of being in a group themselves.

Leadership development groups for anyone who is currently leading a group, which can also count towards accreditation.

Balint Psychodrama group   Psychodrama stems from the partnership of two practices: the classic Balint group on the one hand and psychoanalytic Psychodrama on the other.  Balint Psychodrama is not role play but aims to recreate real scenes  that took place in actual consultations as described by the presenting doctor and re-enacted by the presenter and group members.

Dinner which is included, will be at Beamish Hall on Thursday evening along with some time to relax. This is a non-residential event.  Cost £150. There is plenty of accommodation near the venue in Newcastle and Gateshead.  Any queries contact Jane.dammers@ncl.ac.uk

This event is endorsed by the Royal College of General Practitioners.
