Getting there

Getting to Oxford and to Keble College

Oxford has a railway station with frequent connections to London Paddington Station and now to London Marylebone Station, which may be cheaper. There are also lines to other major cities. There is a main bus station in Oxford at a square called Gloucester Green. Heathrow is the most convenient airport for Oxford. From Heathrow and Gatwick airports you may want to consider the bus services, which are direct, as by train you have to go into London first and change trains. If you are considering flying to Stansted or Luton airport, you will have to travel via London to get to Oxford whether you go by bus or train. Here are links to some useful transport websites:

From the railway station you can walk to Keble in about 20 minutes, hire a taxi from the stand outside or catch a bus (14A to John Radcliffe Hospital or 500 Park and Ride to Woodstock; get off at Keble Road, which is across the road from the bus stop).

The bus station is a 10 minute walk from Keble.

The entrance to Keble College is on Parks Road near to the junction with Keble Road.

Click on ‘view larger map’ then search for Keble College. It is near the Oxford University Parks.

Coming by car

Having a car in Oxford is not useful for visiting the city and we would advise you to arrive by public transport or taxi where possible. Keble has no parking for visitors and nearby streets are for residents only. Parking in the centre of Oxford is difficult and expensive. There are Park and Ride facilities on the outskirts of Oxford, which are open all the time. For all parking details see Oxford car parking

Please note: St Giles’ Fair 2017 This old traditional funfair will take place on Monday 4th and Tuesday 5th September 2017. St Giles is a wide street which runs into the centre of Oxford and lies close to Keble College. St Giles and several surrounding streets will be closed to all traffic during the fair, until early morning of Wednesday 6th September 2017. If you were thinking of arriving in Oxford and staying at Keble before the IBF Congress begins, then please bear this in mind. You can find out more information about the fair itself and traffic restrictions here.
