Balint Weekends

Forthcoming weekends:

All will offer leadership training groups and ordinary Balint groups. Information and booking details are posted 4-5 months before each event.

  • Thursday June 28th – Friday June 29th 2018: Newcastle upon Tyne
    Two day Balint event including Leadership development groups 

    This two day event will be like a Balint ‘weekend’ with Leadership Development  groups and Balint groups but goes from Thursday morning to late Friday afternoon.  We have organised this in response to those who have said they would prefer to come during the working week as it makes it easier to obtain study leave and funding.  Thursday evening we will have dinner at Beamish Hall and there will be some free time beforehand to try your hand at archery, go for a walk, inspect the local brewery or just chill out in the bar or gardens.  Booking will start in the new year.  Any queries contact Jane.dammers@ncl.ac.uk

  • 14th-16th September 2018: Oxford

    Booking will open on April 1st, with ‘early bird rate’ until 1st July

The study day will be of interest to Balint group leaders and supervisors and those who are interested in setting up new Balint groups. All are welcome at our Annual Dinner.

Group leaders’ peer supervision workshop dates

NEW GROUP in the Midlands: SUPERVISION GROUP FOR LEADERS IN BALINT WORK:  If you are leading a group, or are interested in becoming a leader, this is for you.  The intention is to provide supervision support in a group setting.  We will meet quarterly at first.

The Balint leaders peer supervision group is open to anybody in the region who is running a Balint group.  We meet for 2 hours and have time to discuss one or two groups as well as discussing some more general issues.  There is no charge for this group.  If you know anybody who is involved in Balint and is not on the mailing list please feel free to invite them to come along.
